Capability Statement
Tree services redefined. Safe, efficient and sustainable arboriculture for Victoria's infrastructure, construction and council projects.
Overview
Arborcraft is a commercial tree management and arboriculture consultancy operating across Victoria's infrastructure, construction and council sectors, specialising in time-critical tree removal, vegetation management and environmental compliance for major projects. For more than 12 years, Arborcraft has provided safe, sustainable, high-quality arboreal care across natural and built environments, acting as a single, accountable provider for tree services on some of Victoria's largest infrastructure programs, including Victoria's Big Build.
Where many providers either execute tree work without strategy or advise on environmental compliance without the crews to deliver it, Arborcraft combines arborist expertise, sustainability consulting and an in-house project office under one contract. That means one point of accountability for a project director, one contract to manage for a procurement team, and one team who understands both the trees and the program they sit inside.
Tree services redefined: Safe. Efficient. Sustainable.

Services
Each service below operates as a standalone capability. Arborcraft is engaged for single services or as an integrated provider managing all vegetation-related scopes on a project.
Tree consulting and arborist reporting
Arborcraft's qualified arborists deliver assessments and documentation for large-scale infrastructure and development projects, including environmental impact statement input, construction methodology reports, and risk management plans that keep projects compliant and on schedule.
Strategic vegetation management
Vegetation control in infrastructure corridors has to meet exact clearance and sight-line requirements without slowing the program. Arborcraft's pruning services maintain overhead clearance and sight lines, while precision removal handles high-risk trees that could affect project assets or timelines.
Tree removal
Arborcraft removes trees of any size, including in confined urban sites and live infrastructure corridors, using detailed traffic management plans and advanced equipment, protecting underground services and preserving and transplanting trees wherever possible.
Transplanting and planting
Putting the right tree in the right place takes more than a hole and a stake. Arborcraft assesses soil type, drainage and site conditions before any transplanting or planting program, considering the whole tree from root network to canopy.
Woody weed removal and environmental compliance
Large infrastructure sites often carry woody weed populations that need clearing without harming native vegetation or breaching environmental conditions. Arborcraft removes unwanted woody weeds while protecting healthy, retained trees, keeping projects compliant without losing momentum.
Recycling and ArborReuse
All green matter removed from a client's site is processed for reuse, not sent to landfill. This work feeds directly into ArborReuse, Arborcraft's circular economy program that diverts infrastructure timber into landscaping and milled material rather than mulch or landfill.

Case studies
City of Port Phillip
Since April 2026, Arborcraft has been the City of Port Phillip's tree management and maintenance contractor, responsible for all tree maintenance works across a municipality where council looks after more than 46,000 trees.
Awarded by unanimous Council resolution following a public tender, the contract has a four-year initial term with options to extend to eight years.
More than 40 Arborcraft team members were deployed from day one, supported by experienced supervisors, dedicated management and a purpose-built fleet.
Tullamore Estate, Mirvac
Tullamore Estate is a large, well-forested residential community in Doncaster, Victoria, repurposed from a former golf course. After an initial needs assessment, Arborcraft developed a tailored management plan and rollout schedule in coordination with the client and the local council.
Arborcraft's arborists mapped the site and proposed long-term improvements, then carried out pruning and removal of excess vegetation across the entire estate. Dissatisfied with their previous provider, Mirvac contracted Arborcraft for ongoing maintenance, and Arborcraft has managed all council interaction and tree maintenance at Tullamore Estate since 2019, supplying garden mulch through recycled green waste generated on-site.
The centrepiece outcome was a fully researched, designed and implemented habitat creation scheme, delivered in partnership with the council ecologist, installing viable habitat for sugar gliders, birds and possums within the estate.
EBTA, North East Link (Victoria's Big Build)
As one of the contractors on the North East Link project, part of Victoria's Big Build, Arborcraft delivered tree removal, pruning, habitat creation and consulting services.
Arborcraft assessed more than 100 acres of trees within the road corridor across government and private land, evaluating impacts against the North East Link design proposal. Arborcraft's consultants remain regularly involved in supervising construction works and advising on mitigating tree damage in line with best practice, while identifying opportunities for habitat creation as the project progresses.
Following assessment, Arborcraft's team removed excess vegetation and carried out pruning across our areas of the project, from canopy uplifts to allow machine access, through to dead-wooding for tree health and removals. All mulch generated was repurposed to compost, and all timber was reused in milling and landscaping on the project rather than sent to landfill.
Programmed Facility Management, Victorian School Building Authority
Selected from a field of 500 vendors, Arborcraft was engaged as an emergency tree care provider under Programmed's make-safe program for the Victorian School Building Authority. Arborcraft attended close to 500 incidents statewide without falling outside response-time KPIs once, and was named Programmed's Vendor of the Quarter for Q2 2021. Arborcraft continues to provide this service today.
Other projects: M80 Ring Road Extension (Victoria's Big Build). Arborcraft was one of the contractors delivering tree removal on the project, running crews around the clock for months to keep the program on schedule.
